Abstract:Tourism carrying capacity as the core of modern natural tourism management framework, has been widely accepted as an effective tool for realizing the sustainable development of tourism. In this paper, we took Lvshunkou national forest park in Dalian, Liaoning province as a pilot study area, applying conditional logit model to establish carrying capacity standards from the perspectives of tourists that their probability of acceptance based on LAC (limits of acceptable change) theoretical framework. The results show that the environmental improvement will make the carrying capacity to the right displacement and tourists are most sensitive to the "congestion". When the congestion level approaches 20 people per hundred square meters, the probability for all designated environmental attributes tourists accept will drop to below 0.1.
