主要研究领域为船体曲面外板热加工成形技术、绿色造船技术、船舶与海洋工程高效建造技术和船舶制造工艺力学，近年开始从事船舶智能制造技术、船舶轴系校中安装及在线监测技术、碳纤维增强复合材料3D打印技术、三维点云处理及应用技术。等方面的研究。
