Profile
Dr. Lu Xiaohong received her Ph.D. degree in 2008 from Dalian University of Technology. She is a professor in school of mechanical engineering, Dalian University of Technology. Her main research directions include micro-milling of micro-parts of nickel-based superalloys, in-situ detection and prediction and control of form and property characteristics during friction stir welding, and comprehensive performance testing of key functional components of CNC machine tools. She has presided over more than 10 projects such as major national science and technology projects, key research and development project topics, National Natural Science Foundation of China for Young Scientists, General Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Foundation, Dalian Science and Technology Innovation Fund projects, and enterprise-commissioned research and development projects. As the first author, she has published two monographs (Science Press). The research results have won the AM STRICKLAND PRIZE of the International Academic Award of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers of the United Kingdom. She has won one second prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Education, passed four appraisals of scientific and technological achievements of the Ministry of Education, won one first prize of the Dalian Science and Technology Progress Award, and one first prize of the Dalian Patent Award. A total of more than 100 academic papers have been published, among which more than 70 SCI/indexed papers have been published as the first author or corresponding author, including one ESI highly cited paper; more than 20 invention patents have been applied for and authorized; two technical achievements have been applied in enterprises; she has served as the chairperson of the MSEC sub-conference of international academic conferences and the technical consultant of the combined machine tool branch of the National Metal Cutting Machine Tool Standardization Technical Committee. She has long served as an invited reviewer for international journals such as Applied Surface Science, Journal of Manufacturing Processes, Nonlinear Dynamics, IEEE, ASME, etc.
