Abstract: Ni-Si intermetallics (IMCs) have been designed as promising hydrodesulfurization catalysts with high activity toward HDS and good sulfur tolerance, which is due to the formation of an electron-deficient Ni by the Ni-Si interaction in the Ni-Si IMCs.
