Abstract:The regional carrying capacity is a complex system involving many elements and the interactions between them , the most important of which is knowledge .The research on regional knowledge carrying capacity is of theoretical and prac-tical significance for the sustainable development of regional economies .The exiting research at home and abroad is lack of a clear definition and mechanism of regional knowledge carrying capacity .On the basis of combing the whole research ,this paper attempts to make an in-depth analysis on the definition of regional knowledge carrying capacity and its evolution fea-tures .
