Dr. Hangyu Zhang received his bachelor's degree from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Sichuan University in China in 2006, and then he was admitted to West China Medical College of Sichuan University for master study. In May 2014, he obtained a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Purdue University in the US. He was guided by Prof. Lia Stanciu, associate head of School of Materials Engineering. From 2014 to 2017, he pursued his postdoctoral research in Department of Bioengineering at University of Washington in the US under the supervision of Prof. Kim Woodrow. He joined in School of Biomedical Engineering at Dalian University of Technology as an associated professor in 2017. In the past two years, he obtained one NSFC project, participated in one National Key R&D Program of China and two JW Innovation District projects. His current researches focus on biosensors, bioelectronics, supermolecular self-assembly, biomaterials and 3D bioprinting.
