Heng Qi Ph.D. Professor, Dean Assistant for Faculty of Electronic Information & Electrical Engineering

Dr. Qi received the B.S. degree from Hunan University in 2004 and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the Dalian University of Technology, China, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. He has been a JSPS Oversea Research Fellow with the Graduate School of Information Science, Nagoya University, Japan, from 2016 to 2017. 

His research interests include future network architecture, big data and IoT. He has published over 100 research papers in prestigious international journals and top conferences, including IEEE/ACM Transactions on networking, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, INFOCOM, WWW, ICML, et al. He was the recipient of 4 Best Papers. His research has mainly been supported by NSFC and industry (such as Hisens, Yidatec, et al.)

He contributes to many conferences on his research areas as various roles, such as Program Vice Chair, Publication Chair, Publicity Chair, Workshop Chair, et, al. He has also served as the Program Committee Member of numerous professional conferences/workshops. He is a senior member of the IEEE, the ACM, and the China Computer Federation (CCF).
