Abstract:Numerical simulations of a flue gas turbine were conducted by using the software NUMECA. The influence of different moving blade installation angles was analyzed on the internal flow field, and the change of turbine's efficiency and mass flow rate was studied too. It is found that moving blade installation angle has great influences on turbine's performance. The results indicate that the optimal installation angle of moving blade is 52.9 degrees. Compared with it, increasing or decreasing installation angle reduces turbine's efficiency, power and torque. Increasing installation angle enlarges the original supersonic zone in the flow passage of static blade and moving blade. Decreasing installation angle slightly reduces the supersonic zone in static blade flow passage but adds another bigger supersonic zone in moving blade flow passage, which worsens the flow field. Secondary flow and separation region exist near the moving blade suction surface, with increase of installation angle their influence scope become larger.
