本课题组主要研究分子光化学与光物理。首先合成所设计的分子,然后利用各种稳态与瞬态光谱(纳秒与飞秒时间分辨)研究所制备的化合物的光物理性质。主要关注与分子的系间窜越(Intersystem Crossing, ISC)有关的激发态弛豫规律、电子转移、能量转移以及电子自旋极化。此外,还研究相关化合物在三重态湮灭上转换、光催化有机合成反应、发光法氧传感、以及光动力治疗(Photodynamic Therapy, PDT)方面的应用。
本课题组研究的化合物主要是有机分子以及磷光过渡金属配合物。
所研究的ISC的机理主要有:
1. 过渡金属有机配合物中的重原子效应,如Ru(II), Pt(II), Ir(III), Re(I), Os(II)等配合物。该类化合物具有强可见光吸收、长三重态寿命的优点,在三重态湮灭上转换和光动力治疗中取 得了较好的效果。相关论文有:

在深入研究分子光物理性质的基础上,本课题组还研究了所制备的化合物的基础应用性能,比如利用具有长三重态寿命的化合物进行三重态湮灭上转换( Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., 2011, 50, 1626-1629), 率先利用具有强可见光吸收能力的新型有机三重态光敏剂进行光催化有机合成反应(Chem. Commun., 2013, 49, 8689-8691; J. Org. Chem., 2013, 78, 5627–5637; Chem. Commun., 2013, 49, 3751-3753; Chem. Eur. J., 2013, 19, 17472-17482; Chem. Sci., 2014, 5, 489–500)、光动力治疗(J. Mater. Chem. B, 2014, 2, 2838–2854)等等。此外,本课题组还制备了具有款谱带强可见光吸收的、具有荧光共振能量转移的化合物,实验表明利用该来化合物可提高光催化或光动力治疗(PDT)的效果。比如,通过Click反应,方便地将不同结构的Bodipy单元连接起来,构成FRET体系,使光敏剂具有款谱带的吸光能力,提高了光催化的效果(Chem. Sci., 2014, 5, 489–500. Back Cover Paper), 或光动力治疗的效果(PDT)。比如,利用Click反应,将罗丹明和双碘苄叉Bodipy连接起来,利用二者在不同波长处具有的强吸光能力和光谱匹配效果,构成FRET体系,制备了宽谱带可见-近红外光吸收能力的三重态光敏剂,并将此类具有FRET集光能力的三重态光敏剂首次用于光动力治疗(PDT)研究,研究结果以封面论文的形式发表(J. Mater. Chem. C, 2014, 2, 3900–3913. Broadband Visible Light-Near IR Absorbing Triplet Photosensitizers Based on FRET Effect with Rhoadmine and DiiodostyrylBodipy Units as Light-Harvesting Antenna for Photodynamic Therapy Studies)。
此外,本课题组还利用基于自由基引起的系间窜越作用(Radical Enhanced ISC),将相关化合物用于三重态湮灭上转换(J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2017, 139, 7831−7842. ),以及光动力治疗研究 (PDT. Chem. Eur. J. , 2018, 10.1002/chem.201804212. Efficient Radical-Enhanced Intersystem Crossing in NDI-TEMPO Dyad: Photophysical Study, Electron Spin Polarization and Application in Photodynamic Therapy), 分别为两个重要领域提供了全新的材料。此前,此类自由基促进的ISC化合物(Radical enhanced ISC),从未用于三重态湮灭上转换(Triplet-triplet Annihilation Upconversion)和光动力治疗研究(Photodynamic Therapy. PDT )。
本课题组还利用时间分辨电子顺磁共振光谱(Plused Laser-Excited Time-Resolved Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, TREPR)对上述分子的电子自旋极化现象(Electron Spin Polarization, ESP)进行了研究(J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2017, 139, 7831−7842; Chem. Eur. J., 2018, DOI: 10.1002/chem.201804212; J. Phys. Chem. C, 2018, DOI: 10.1021/acs.jpcc.8b08965)。
