Understanding the viral and bacterial infections, and host immune response at molecular level, integrating microbiology, immunology, and bioinformatics. I employ molecular techniques, genetic engineering and comparative genomics to study pathogen evolution and develop novel therapeutic strategies, including cancer immunotherapy and nanoparticle-based drug delivery across the blood-brain barrier.
