Personal Profile
Guohai Dong has been a professor at Dalian University of Technology since 1999. His area of expertise lies in the study of wave dynamics and its interaction with maritime structures/ floating bodies, such as harbor, breakwaters, ships, net cages, and FPSO.
Through his scientific research, Professor Dong has made significant contributions to the design and construction of many engineering projects. Some notable examples include the Hambantota Port in Sri Lanka, the Chancay Harbor in Peru, and the Gwadar Port in Pakistan.
