摘要:A three-dimensional Finite Element Model (FEM) was established to reveal welding distortion evolution of a 0.5 mm thick Hastelloy C-276 alloy thin sheet during Pulsed Laser Beam Welding (PLBW). Based on the FEM, the influence law of the clamp impacting distance and the clamp release time on welding distortion evolution was investigated by using displacement constraint assumption instead of actual clamp conditions. The numerical simulation calculations were implemented by using ANSYS and the welding residual distortion was measured by a laser displacement measuring system. With comparing the simulation results and the corresponding experimental findings, it indicates that the relative error is less than 10%, which validates the rationality and applicability of the FEM. The welding distortion evolution depends strongly on the clamp restraining conditions. Therefore, appropriate clamping conditions can produce a tensile action on welding plasticity zone in cooling process to mitigate welding residual distortion. The FEM provides theoretical and experimental basis for suppression of welding distortion for the Hastelloy C-276 alloy thin sheet, and makes the PLBW of thin sheet more conveniently in the industry.
