Xu Han, Ph.D. of Marine Technology in Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), currently works as an Associate Professor in Dalian University of Technology (DLUT). He focuses on the research fields of offshore energy and resource development, including renewables (wind and solar), oil and gas, aquaculture, and their integrations. His interested topics include structural dynamics, uncertainty estimation, structural and environmental monitoring, digital twin technology and smart onboard decision support for offshore maintenance and operations. He previously worked as a Technical Engineer in DNV, focusing on analysis, technical support, verification, and certification for risers, flexibles, umbilicals, and power cables. He also worked as a Senior Data Scientist in 4Subsea before joining DLUT, assisting in developing onboard decision support solutions for marine operations. He has more than 30 SCI/EI indexed published papers and more than 17 authorized patents. He has served as reviewers for many journals (e.g., Mechanical system and signal processing, Journal of Cleaner Production, Marine Structures, Ocean Engineering, Applied Ocean Research, Structures, and Energy).
