Profile

Xu Han currently works as an Associate Professor in Dalian University of Technology (DLUT). He focuses on the research topics of offshore structural dynamics, offshore wind and solar, marine operations, vessel motion prediction, and smart onboard decision support for offshore maintenance and operation. He previously worked as a Technical Engineer in DNV in 2013 - 2018, focusing on structural and hydrodynamic analysis, technical support, verification, and certification of risers, flexibles, umbilicals, and power cables. Then, he went back to Norwegian University of Science and Technology, contributing to the theoretical development about identification of vessel seakeeping model parameters and uncertainty estimation. After graduation, he worked as a Senior Data Scientist in 4Subsea before joining DLUT, assisting in developing onboard decision support solutions for marine operations.
