Real-time monitoring and management system for green construction

Abstract:This paper proposes a real-time monitoring and management system of electric energy and environment based on Green Construction Guideline issued by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China in 2007. In electric energy monitoring and management module, an electricity chassis was constructed to simulate the electrical equipment in construction site. Data acquisition hardware made by National Instruments was ran and regulated by the system programmed by LabVIEW. So power consumption can be monitored and managed in real-time to achieve predefined objectives and alarm function. In environmental monitoring module, by integrating the sensors of PM 10, temperature and humidity, carbon monoxide in homemade circuit board, corresponding data can be collected and transmitted in real-time by the WSN Node3202 and ZIGBEE protocol to the Host PC. So dust in construction site can be monitored and alarm can be triggered as needed in real-time. This system can provide support for green construction.
