摘要:The hydrothermal reaction of Ln(III) nitrate, Mn(II) sulfate hydrate with 5-nitroisophthalic acid (H(2)NIPH) produced two novel metal organic frameworks (MOFs), [Ln(2)Mn(NIPH)(4)(H(2)O)(4)]center dot 6H(2)O [Ln = Eu (1), Nd (2)], which represent the first examples of three-dimensional Ln(III)-Mn(II) heterometallic MOFs based on rod-shaped molecular building blocks (MBBs). In the structures, two LnO(9) polyhedra and one MnO(6) polyhedron are bridged in a corner-sharing fashion to form a trinuclear unit [Ln(2)MnO(20)], which is further connected to each other by carboxylate groups to give a [Eu(2)MnO(20)]-(O-C-O)(2)-[Eu(2)MnO(20)] heterometallic rod.
