摘要:Based on a two-dimensional model with complete chemistry, combustion and heat transfer in a combustor-heater unit are numerically investigated and validated through their comparison with available experimental data. Results show that the excess air ratio (psi) and firing rate (P) have significant influence on energy extraction efficiencies (eta) and NOx emissions in the unit. It is shown that eta decreases significantly with the increasing of psi at constant firing rates, whereas NO simultaneously decreases. In addition, it is indicated that eta decreases while NO increases when the firing rate is increased at a constant excess air ratio. Over wide ranges of psi and P, the computed eta and NO show the same trends as observed in the experiments but are generally higher, and the discrepancy between the predictions and experimental values is less than 20%.
