Abstract:We present curvilinear imagers using photodetector arrays on elastomeric membranes, capable of reversible deformation into hemispherical shapes via hydraulics. Combining with tunable, fluidic plano-convex lenses yields hemispherical cameras of adjustable zoom and excellent imaging characteristics. ? 2011 OSA.
