主要研究方向为铁环境化学、环境微生物学与技术及胶体环境行为。近年来主持5项国家自然科学基金项目,于Environmental Science & Technology, Chemical Engineering Journal 和Journal of Hazardous Materials等期刊发表SCI论文50余篇,授权发明专利6项。获评大连市青年科技之星。现担任Scientific Reports期刊编委会成员, 国际水协会(IWA)中国青年委员会委员,美国化学会(ACS)、美国微生物学会(ASM)、欧洲地球化学学会(EAG)及中国土壤学会会员。
近年来指导硕士研究生20余人,博士研究生6人,多人荣获研究生国家奖学金,获颁优秀研究及优秀毕业生等荣誉称号。
