Professor Liu received his B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Jilin University in China in 2002, and his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Jilin University in 2007. Subsequently, he worked as postdoctoral fellow at School of Mathematics, Georgia Institute of Technology. Before joining (2014) the Dalian University of Technology, he was an assistant (2007), associate (2009), and full (2012) professor of Applied Mathematics at Jilin University. Professor Liu's main field is stochastic dynamics and stochastic differential equations. He mainly concerns the complexity and recurrent motions of dynamical systems, and the impact on dynamical systems caused by stochastic perturbations.
