Abstract:In this paper, we present a three-dimensional reconstruction of far and large objects in a synthetic aperture integral imaging system. In the proposed method, the far and large size objects are recorded as a set of elemental images by using an additional Plano-concave lens in the synthetic aperture integral imaging system. Due to the use of the Plano-concave lens, the reconstruction distance can be significantly reduced. This enables us to computationally reconstruct the objects in the far-field region. Experimental results are carried out, and the feasibility of the proposed method is verified. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
