Profile
Dr. Kun Qian is an associate professor in the School of Automotive Engineering at Dalian University of Technology, China, since July 2021. He received a B.E. degree in Measurement and Control Technology and Instruments from Jilin University in 2010, a M.E. degree in Measurement Technology and Instruments from Jilin University, China, in 2013, and a Ph.D. degree in Automotive Engineering from Jilin University, China, in 2016. After graduating from Ph.D., he worked in NVH and acoustic design of railway vehicles at CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicle Company LTD-National Railway Vehicle Research Center-National Engineering Laboratory. From December 2018 to September 2021, he worked at Tsinghua University-College of Vehicles and Transportation (Department of Automotive) -State Key Laboratory of Vehicle Safety and Energy Conservation-Postdoctoral Station to work on electric drive systems and NVH of electric vehicles. He is a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineering, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Acoustical Society, and the Society of Vibration Engineering, and is currently serving as a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers-Youth Working Committee.
He has been engaged in the research of vehicle NVH and intelligentization for a long time, and his main research directions are vehicle NVH analysis and control, acoustic quality evaluation analysis and control, intelligent vehicle comfort analysis and control, and intelligent cockpit ergonomics design. Currently, he teaches the undergraduate course "Automotive Ergonomics". In recent years, he has presided over one project of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, participated in four projects of the National Key Research and Development Program, and one project of the National Defense Basic Enhancement Program. Under the academic exchange program of the China Postdoctoral International Exchange Program, he made three academic presentations in the 49th and 50th International Conference on Noise Control Engineering.
The future scientific research work mainly focuses on the evaluation, analysis, and control of vehicle noise quality as the research basis and starting point, and actively carries out the research work on vehicle NVH control technology with international frontiers, and the research direction mainly focuses on the electric drive system, the whole vehicle vibration and noise analysis and control, the evaluation and analysis of intelligent vehicle comfort, the design of intelligent cabin ergonomics, and the combination of deep learning, intelligent algorithms and big data to establish the sub-systems and the whole vehicle acoustic quality evaluation methodology and the acoustic design and optimization.
