Xie Quan, Ph.D., Professor

Dr Xie Quan is a Professor at the Dalian University of Technology and the Director of the Key Laboratory of Industrial Ecology and Environmental Engineering, Ministry of Education, China. He received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Northeast Normal University in 1982, M.S. degree in Environmental Chemistry from Nanjing University, China in 1986, and PhD degree in Chemistry from University of Graz, Austria in 2000. He is Chair Professor of "Cheung Kong Scholars Programme of China", and the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He had been serving as a member of the Disciplinary Appraisal Group under the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council. He is an Editorial Advisory Board Member of Environmental Science & Technology and ACS ES&T Engineering, and Editorial Board Member of several journals including Chemical Engineering Journal, Frontiers of Environmental Science and Engineering, etc. His research interests include advanced oxidation technologies for water and wastewater treatment, membrane separation technology for water treatment and reclamation, and the functional materials for environmental application. He coautherd over 600 papers. He has been Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher since 2020.
