Biography
Jiangping Tian, doctor, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Energy & Power Engineering, Dalian University of Technology. He has long served as the vice director of Key Laboratories of Internal Combustion Engine of Liaoning Province and Dalian City, committee member of several branches of China Society of Internal Combustion Engines, invited reviewer for more than 20 international and Chinese journals such as Fuel, Applied Energy, International Journal of Heat Mass Transfer, Energy Conversion & Management, etc.
He is engaged in optical diagnostics and numerical simulation on flow, spay and combustion in internal combustion engines and other power machinery, as well as working processes and optimization of internal combustion engines. As one of the core team members, he developed the first premixed combustion marine diesel prototype engine in the world. In recent years, he has taken part in or been responsible for more than 20 projects, such as the “863” Projects of Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and key projects from Ministry of Industry and Information of China.
He has published more than 100 academic papers, and obtained 57 invention patents authorized by SIPO, 2 patents by JPO, and 3 patents by USPTO, and participated in compiling 4 textbooks for higher education and one book for popular science. He was awarded more than 10 prizes from Chinese government, associations and international associations.
