Prof. Xu is currently an associate professor in the R&D Institute of Fluid and Powder Engineering at Dalian University of Technology. He graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology with his Ph.D. in 2012. His research is in the broad area of Fluid Mechanics, with emphasis on the laboratory experiments and numerical simulation to elucidate multiphase flow and transport mechanisms. Currently, based on the fundamental theory of multiphase flow, I am conducting research in four areas: wastewater treatment, surface cleaning, underwater propulsion equipment, and fluid machinery. I have presided over National Natural Science Foundation projects, National Key Research and Development Program project, Liaoning Province and Ministry of Education research projects , Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, and cross-sectional study topic with enterprises.
