Abstract:NaA zeolite membranes were prepared by modification of macroporous -Al2O3support, which included dip-coating with 2 m size seed crystals, wiping for seeding smaller crystals with the size of about 400 nm to form a continuous and homogeneous seed layer on the support surface, and dynamically hydrothermally synthesizing the membranes on the seeded support surface in a rotating oven. The prepared NaA zeolite membranes were characterized by means of SEM and XRD. The results indicated that the prepared membranes were continuous and dense, and could be prepared repeatedly. Pervaporation experiments were carried out under 353 K and 200-300 Pa in a water/ethanol system with 90%(w) ethanol concentration to test performance of the synthesized membranes. The result showed that the water flux reached 1.8 kg/(m2h) and the separation factor was more than 10000.
