Abstract:Liquid polybutadiene with low relative molecular mass was synthesized by anionic polymerization with cyclohexane as a solvent and high concentration n-butyl-lithium as an initiator. The effects of the polymerization temperature and initiator concentration on the polymerization kinetics were investigated. The liquid polybutadiene was characterized by means of GPC and 1H NMR. The results show that the butadiene polymerization is first order reaction. The pseudo-first apparent rate constants under different conditions are obtained, the apparent activation energy is 112 kJ/mol and the frequency factor is 3.67��1019 L/(mol��min). The polymerization kinetic equation of the narrow distribution liquid polybutadiene at temperature 313 K was attained. The liquid polybutadiene with the relative molecular mass range of 1000-3000 were hydrogenated and the hydrogenation degree could reach 100%.
