Abstract:Recent advances in macromolecular self-assembly approaches were reviewed according to different micellization induction actions, including hydrogen bond, electrostatic interaction, change of surrounding conditions (temperature, chemical reaction and host-guest inclusion complexation etc.) and radically-packing action of rod-like blocks. Mechanism and course of micellization were discussed in detail. Both structure characteristics and application prospect of various assemblies were also stated. Development of macromolecular self-assembly in future would be planned to divide into three categories, namely synthesis and micellization of new macromolecular precursors of self-assembly, chemical modification of assembly structure and application of self-assembly materials.
