Feasibility of urban sewage source heat pump system with freezing latent heat collection

Abstract:The urban sewage temperature is suitable, but its flux is insufficient as cooling and heating source. So in many cases the conventional sewage source heat pump system is unable to satisfy the building heat peak load. According to this condition, a new mentality is proposed about which the freezing latent heat of urban sewage is used as the low temperature heat source of heat pump in the building as well as sensible heat. Then the key equipment, freezing latent heat exchanger namely is developed, which can eliminate the ice safely, extract the heat continuously, remove the sewage soft-dirt, and strengthen heat transfer. According to the sewage characteristics, reasonable forms of the urban sewage source heat pump with freezing latent heat collection are discussed and established. The results of analysis showed that the new system have broad feasibility and giant application potential.
