摘要:Wrinkling is one of the major defects in forming processes of auto-body panels. This paper focuses on the application of universal formability technology (UFT) to analyze and eliminate wrinkling defect. To analyze refinedly and eliminate efficiently, UFT is introduced into finite element environment. This paper presents a procedure of formability simulation analysis for wrinkles appeared on an auto fender model. The analysis results provide the approach to eliminating wrinkles, which demonstrates the effectiveness of UFT to analyze wrinkling phenomenon. The study also shows the feasibility of UFT introduced into finite element environment.
