Abstract:Non-stationary random vibratbn of 3- D trail-bridge tine-dependent systems subjected to the action of non-unifonn literal horizontal earthquake is investgated on the basis of the pseudo-excitation 111 etliod ( PEM ). The motbn equation of train-brirlge tine-dependent systems due tomult4-poiit earthquake excitatbnsw ith the consirleration of wave travelling effect is established by connecting the motion equations of the trail and brirlge through wheel- mil contact relations The excitation of lateral horizontal earthquake is assumed to be a uniform lv modulated multipoint different-phase ccmpletely coherent randan excitatbn, while the excitatbns of track irregu larity are assumed to be millti-phase different-phase ccmpletely coherent randem excitatbns The pscudo-excitatbn method ( PEM) is extended to such tine-dependent systems and is applied to transfom the above randan excitations into a series of deteim inistic pseudo excitations After solviig the correspondent pseudo responses by using the Newmark method varbus non-stationaiy randem responses rieliding tlie tine-dependent PSD and IM S of interested quantities can be ob tailed easily Numerical exanpies show the effectiveness and accuracy of the presented method by comparison with Monte Carb sinulation Additionally the iifhiences of sesnic apparent wave vebcity and site type on system randan responses are discussed.
