Abstract:In order to study dynamics of bridges subjected to random moving loads, the pseudo excitation method was used to transform random excitations into deterministic ones, and the non-stationary random response of bridges was derived, including the non-stationary power spectral densities (PSD) and the time dependent standard deviations. Then the precise integration method was extended to solve the equation of motion of structures under moving loads by enhancing the recently established consistent decomposition procedure, which simulates the continuous varying movement of the loads. As numerical examples, a simply supported beam and a symmetrical three span beam were numerically investigated.
