Abstract:A compact dual wideband dual polarized antenna is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna consists of a lower band element, an upper band element, four coaxial cables and a ground reflector. The lower band element is composed of four inductor-ended slots and two 180 degrees out of phase splitters (OPSs) in a square shape and is excited by Port 1 and Port 2. The upper band element, suspended on the lower band element, embraces two crossed bow-tie dipoles and is excited by Port 3 and Port 4. Simulated results show that the IMBWs of the proposed antenna are 0.65 -1.1 GHz (0.45 GHz, 51.4%) for Ports 1 and 2, and 1.7-2.7 GHz (1.0 GHz, 45.5%) for Ports 3 and 4. The isolation are greater than 34 dB between Port 1 and 2, and greater than 20 dB between Port 3 and 4, respectively. Peak gains of 7.8 dBi within the lower band and 8.8 dBi within the upper band are obtained. The cross polarization suppression are above 55 dB for Port 1 and Port 2 at 0.85 GHz and above 22 dB for Port 3 and Port 4 at 0.85 GHz.
