Practice of cross-discipline project-based learning for software major students

Abstract:With the increasing demand for practical skill in software and English, graduates in software major in Chinese universities cannot fully meet the requirement. Based on the (PBL) project-based learning, this article introduces how to facilitate software majors to improve application and English skills by project of making English learning software. It also puts forward that PBL approach should be designed according to the job quality requirement for software majors in the talent market. There are numerous benefits to the implementation of the PBL strategies in this practice of cross-discipline approach including project management capacity, problem-solving skill, interpersonal skill and English presentation skill.
