Abstract: A novel soluble poly(aryl ether ketone) was prepared by the reaction of 4-(3-phenyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)phthalazinone with 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone. The polymer was characterized by DSC, TGA and X-ray diffraction.
