Optimizing shipbuliding process by using hull blocks takt time and buffer inventory

Abstract:How to solve the problem that the working load is always unbalanced in the general assembly shipbuilding process is the key to improve the production efficiency. This problem can be solved by optimizing the shipbuilding process using the theory of takt time of the pipelining production process. This article combines the characteristics of the general assembly shipbuilding process, proposes a prime principle for the hull blocks production design; and on this basis, optimizes the theory model of general assembly shipbuilding process, constructs the hull blocks takt time and quantity of the hull blocks buffer inventory calculation method, and analyzes the effects of the applying the takt time by comparing the actual record and the calculated result of a shipyard. The result shows that the production efficiency and the production resources coefficient of utilization are improved obviously and the target of optimizing the shipbuilding process is achieved. ? 2014 CAFET-INNOVA TECHNICAL SOCIETY.
