Abstract:The couple behavior between the thrust and the journal bearings of hydrogenerator set is investigated in this paper. The finite element method is used to analyze the lateral vibration of mechanical model of shaft system, the critical frequency of transverse revolving vibration of shaft system is calculated by complex model method. The influence of couple behavior between the thrust and the journal bearings is analyzed for stability of hydrogenerator shaft system, it provides the theoretical basis for the dynamic design of shaft system with the effect of thrust bearings.
