Abstract:Combining with the project examples,the Pushover analyses are used for analying and comparing an intake tower by using the frame element and layered shell element in SAP2000 respectively.The results indicate that both models could simulate the elastic-plastic properties of intake towers properly.Comparing the results of Pushover analysis with those of nonlinear time-history analysis,it is found that the results of these two methods could agree well mutually.So the reasonable evaluation on the aseismatic capacity of intake towers could be achieved by Pushover analysis.
