Abstract:The mechanical model of a couple vibration between a water turbine generator set and a hydropower house is established, accounting for the nonlinear dynamic coefficients of each tilting-pad of guide bearings with changes in shaft center eccentricity and attitude angle. The compile programs which adjust the dynamic coefficients of each pad along with running of the generating set is developed using APDL language. The transient response of the model is calculated using the soft ware ANSYS. The results show that after accounting for the whole hydropower house foundation and each pad's nonlinear dynamic coefficients, the response of the rotor-bearing system is more reasonable and reliable.
