Abstract:Solid phase transformation under the application of homogeneous high magnetic field has attracted much attention and becomes an potential research field of material science. The effect and acting mechanism of high magnetic field on solid phase transformation were summarized concerning phase stability and morphology as well as grain refinement. The microstructure and properties of materials could be controlled by applying high magnetic field, which becomes a powerful facility available for materials preparation and modification. It has a huge potential for developing high performance materials by high magnetic field.
