Abstract: With the development of high throughput sequencing technology and bioinformatics , especially the applica-tion of metagenome in human intestinal microbial identification , microbionomics emerges as the times require .This paper summarizes the diversity of microbionome and its applications in human health , crop growth and development of animal husbandry , environmental management , and production of industrial biotech-products and other aspects .More-over, the studies of microbionomics as well as their directions and application prospects in the future are forecasted .
