咪唑季铵化聚醚砜阴离子交换膜的制备与性能表征

Abstract:Using 1-methylimidazole as quaternary ammonium reagent, a hosts of imidazolium-functionalized PES(PES-ImOH) were successfully synthesized by chloromethylation-menshutkin method. Some important performance was tested, such as ion exchange capacity(IEC), water uptake, swelling ratio and hydroxide conductivity. PES-ImOH membranes with degree of chloromethylation(DC) from 40%~61% show suitable water uptake(24%~80%), and low swelling ratio(15%~44%)at 60°C. With 1.85 mmol/g of IEC, the PES-ImOH73% membrane exhibits high hydroxide conductivity (34 mS/cm at 20°C), and the onset decomposition temperature of PES-ImOH73% membrane is 190°C. All these properties indicate imidazolium-functionalized polyethersulfone is very promising for potential applications in alkaline anion exchange membranes fuel cells.
