Abstract:Membrane contactor includes a lot of membrane processes with the same
   characteristics. It uses microporous hollow fiber membrane to separate
   two fluids,and the pores of the membrane provide mass transfer sites of
   these fluids. Compared with traditional contacotor devices, membrane
   contactor has many advantages. This paper mainly describes its
   advantages and disadvantages, application characteristics, pertinent
   processes, applications and so on, which sufficiently show the membrane
   contactors' wide applications potentical in many fields such as
   chemical,food,medicine industry etc.
