Profile

  1. Personal Profile

Associate professor, Ph.D. in computational mechanics, and a postdoctoral fellow from Inha University of Korea (sponsored by China Post-doctoral Foundation), Deputy Secretary General of China blasting industry association explosion processing special committee. I am now working in the Laboratory of Explosion Shock Dynamics, Department of Engineering Mechanics, Dalian University of Technology.

Currently, as a faculty member, I serve at the Shock Dynamics Laboratory, School of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering, Dalian University of Technology. Primary research focuses on theoretical studies of explosive shock dynamics and development of industrial simulation software for explosive impacts.

2. Research fields

[1] Computational Mechanics and Explosive Shock Dynamics

[2] Nonlinear Shock Dynamics Analysis under Extreme Loads

[3] Mesh-Free Methods and Industrial Simulation Software Development

3. Research experimences

★ Principal Investigator, National Natural Science Foundation of China Project: Analysis of Multi-Layer Material Explosion-Resistant Structures

★ Principal Investigator, Central University Research Fund Project: Mesh-Free Material Point Method Analysis for High-Speed Collisions

★ R&D of Large-Scale Digital Twin Software/Hardware System for Underground Oil Production in Liaohe Oilfield

★ National Key Research Program on Metamaterial Optimization

★ Industry-University Collaborative Projects: Software development and numerical simulation for domestic/international enterprises including Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group, Dalian Submarine Tunnel, Shanghai Yangpu Port, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, and Fujitsu Japan

4. Graduate Student Recruitment

[1] Research Areas: Extreme load impact, impact protection using biomimetic metamaterial structures, development and application of particle method simulation software for explosive shock waves.

[2] Training Approach: Focus on cutting-edge academic issues while emphasizing fundamental theory and English language proficiency (listening, speaking, reading, writing).

[3] Cultivate graduate students' ability to conduct independent academic research.

5. Independently Developed Simulation Software WP-DYNA

The domestically produced CAE simulation software WP-DYNA was independently developed utilizing C/C++ and OpenGL for solving problems of the impact dynamics. The WP-DYNA software encompasses preprocessing, 2D/3D multi-medium and multi-scale modeling, solver of the material point method , and post-processing analysis modules. It can be enployed to simulate problems in explosion-impact dynamics, such as metal plastic large deformation, damage and fracture, geotechnical dam failure, fluid-structure interaction, hypersonic impact, thermal-mechanical coupling, metamaterials,  detonation of the explosive.
