Abstract: This paper presents an effective approach using synchronous parallel transmission worm-switching supporting unicast and multicast services based on hypercube multi-core architecture. Hypercube is a flexible interconnection structure which can reduce the distance of nodes and multicast packets on it are routed and scheduled between multi-cores using a local identity-based multiplexing technique with wormhole switching. The identity ID attached to every flit allows different flits to be mixed in the same queue. In internal nodes, LUT (look-up table) decides the direction of flits and records the transmitting direction, and then Switch Arbitration unit decides what can pass the outgoing links and what have to wait. Polling-transmission policy is used to solve the deadlock problem which occurs in intermediate nodes.
