Abstract:By using local interpolation scheme of regular elements, an improved parent-element drawing approach is presented for the representation of the distributions of finite element data fields. Particularly, Gauss integral points are taken as the interpolation bases of stress distribution as well as, the corresponding contour drawing algorithm is given. In comparison with the traditional drawing algorithm of triangle meshes, the proposed approach gives more precise presentation, especially for the high-order interpolation data fields.
