Abstract:To ensure that marine crane is immune from sea waves and performs hoisting safely and efficiently, and to further reduce energy loss of the existing semi-active heave compensation system, the paper proposes a semi-active heave compensation system based on frequency conversion and throttling speed control technology. Variable frequency hydraulic speed governing technology is used for overall power matching, and valve control components are still used, hoping that position control accuracy and energy consumption of the system satisfy relevant requirements. Software AMESim and Simulink are used to establish simulation model for hydraulic system and variable frequency motor. Moreover, compensation and energy saving effects of the system are verified through joint simulation. The results show that compensation accuracy of the system for random waves is high up to 99.7% with energy consumption only 25.6% of that of ordinary valve-controlled active system under the same conditions, thus proving that the system can greatly save energy.
