Abstract:The light weight bridge crane has its weight reduced by adopting advanced optimal design concept under the premise of meeting the strength , rigidity, stability of the metal structure of the girder , for the purpose of reducing the costs.The girder damage is mainly caused by fatigue failure of the strength weld.The paper introduces the fatigue life analy-sis for weld joint of the light weight girder using the numerical simulation method , with research on the regularity of the fac-tors influencing the service life , and recommendation of the optimal type of the girder strength weld.The study result pro-vides certain reference value for reliable design of the strength weld of the box girder.
