Abstract:Integrated waveguide based microwave photonic signal processing technology is promising and attractive for its advantages to bring down volume, weight and power consumption of equipments compared with discrete optical devices. In this paper polymer waveguide ring resonators fabricated with a novel ultraviolet-based soft-imprint technique are presented. Their filtering responses for microwave photonic signal processing, such as notch filter and microwave frequency measurement, are analyzed. With the notch filter response of the waveguide ring the single sideband radio over fiber transmission is demonstrated experimentally.
