主要从事大水电系统优化调度、多能互补调度、水电市场化运行等方向研究。主持国家自然科学基金4项;承担企业委托项目20多项。与云南电网、贵州电网、福建电网、南方电网、华东电网、东北电网、重庆电网、广西电网、乌江梯级水电公司、华能澜沧江水电公司、大唐桂冠公司、黔源电力公司的调度通信部门合作,进行了多项研究课题和工程项目的研发工作。主要负责水电站群长中短期优化调度模型算法研发和水电站群优化调度规则与策略的研发。在国内外期刊及学术会议上已发表、录用论文100余篇,授权发明专利30余项,获省部级一等奖4项,二等奖5项,三等奖2项,中国专利优秀奖1项和日内瓦国际发明展金奖1项。
